MARIETTA, GA, February 1, 2010—A wealth of sustainable, luxury carpets and rugs will be on display at the Las Vegas markets in February as Wools of New Zealand partners take to the floors of Surfaces and World. Many of these companies will be launching products carrying Wools of New Zealand’s new Laneve brand, representing wool that comes from farms meeting superior sustainable standards that are accredited and traceable back to source.

As of press time, the below mills have supplied information highlighting new products for the upcoming year. 

Please note that the products listed have passed numerous tests to carry the Wools of New Zealand Brand. Since not all carpets and rugs made of New Zealand wool carry the Brand it is important to mention the Wools of New Zealand Brand when referring to these products.

All square-foot listed are suggested retail.

Wool Shear Watercolor is the first Bloomsburg carpet to carry Wools of New Zealand’s Laneve brand.

Bloomsburg Carpet—(Surfaces Booth #4728)

Bloomsburg will unveil its first Wools of New Zealand Laneve-branded product—Wool Shear Watercolor, a 62-oz. 1/8 gauge, tufted random tip shear design that is wonderfully versatile. The color palette includes nine soft pastel shades.

Couristan will launch Saybrook, Carlyle and Blakely, all Wilton woven of 100 percent New Zealand wool and branded by Wools of New Zealand for quality and performance. Available in five colors, these multi-textured loop designs make the most of wool’s luxurious feel and luster.

Creative Accents will showcase designs included in its second collection of luxury rugs by Rick Lee. The rugs are hand tufted in lush, dense yarns of 100% New Zealand wool and carry the Wools of New Zealand / Laneve brand for quality and performance. Some designs in the collection have low loop pile details and/or hand carved accents. The striking colors are created in Creative Accents’ own dye house. The designs are available in any shape, size or color. All Creative Accents rugs have been designed, manufactured and shipped from California since 1963.

Fabrica continues to build on the success of its line of wool carpet styles with Claiborne and Forsythe, both branded by Wools of New Zealand. Claiborne is a patterned cut-pile style, tufted in 100 percent New Zealand wool. A large scale, classic Damash pattern, Claiborne recalls Old World elegance in nine subtle colorways.

Forsythe takes inspiration from a scrolling acanthus leaf for a classic, sophisticated look in a patterned cut-pile of 100 percent New Zealand wool. Carrying the Wools of New Zealand brand for quality and performance, Forsythe is available in nine stylish shades.

Karastan launches Woven Impressions, a new rug collection branded by Wools of New Zealand for quality and performance. The company is also expanding its Original Karastan Collection to include two new patterns—Persian Garden and Bella Rosa.

Karastan’s Woven Impressions Collection features three transitional looks that coordinate beautifully or stand alone in contemporary high style. The patterns are: Beaded Curtain, a contemporary look; Diamond Ikat, a geometric lattice; and Vintage Batik, lacey elegance in a soft, yet sturdy, wool. Woven Impressions colorways include luscious indigo, chili pepper, curry, and an espresso/black combination.

• Dartmouth is a small-scale diamond Wilton, woven of 100 percent wool from New Zealand. Carrying the Wools of New Zealand brand, Dartmouth is adding two new colorways for a total of six.

Shaw Living will feature new designs in three rug collections that carry the Wools of New Zealand brand.

• Coventry, a traditional Kashan design of classic flower, vines, and leaves, has been added to the Arabesque Collection of machine woven rugs. It is available in Firebrick Red, Cocoa, Ivory Cream, Pale Leaf, Polished Copper, Cannon Black, and Blue Smoke. Standard sizes range from 2' x 2'9" to 7'9" x 10'10" with select colors available in 7'5"round, 9'6" x 13', and 12' x 15’.
• Blake, a classic chic Zebra motif, joins the Pacifica Collection of Wools of New Zealand brand rugs. Blake is machine made with hand carved accents and offered in  in Blue Smoke, Antique Gold and Cannon Black. Shaw Living offers Blake in five popular sizes ranging from 2' x 2'9" to 7'9" x 10'10".
• Florabundance, a lush style featuring over-scale flowers, is a new addition to the Structure Collection. Florabundance is machine tufted of 100 percent New Zealand wool. It is then hand finished for a lush textural surface of varying pile heights in cut, loop and shag elements. Each rug in the Structure Collection is made in the USA, and incorporates various tufting capabilities to achieve a carved, sculpted look with organic textures and dramatic dimensional effects. Stanton expands on its successful partnership with Wools of New Zealand with the launch of new collections and new styles—all carrying the Wools of New Zealand brand attesting quality and performance.

• The White & Beige Collection is an elegant assortment of styles, hand tufted in a blend of 80 percent New Zealand wool and 20 percent acrylic. Using crisp pure white and soft elegant beige in five exquisite textures, each offering features a deep luxurious pile and the sumptuous, soft hand of wool. The carpets are made in 13'2" widths and will be stocked in 10 SKUs.  Made-to-order area rugs are also available through Stanton’s state-of-the-art fabrication department in Calhoun, Georgia.
• The Chesapeake Collection is machine woven of multi-level loops in a blend that is 80 percent wool (60% New Zealand Wool) and 20 percent nylon.  Tailored, crisp patterns suit both traditional interiors as well as modern settings. Included in the line are Roanoke, a rounded honeycomb pattern, and Potomac, an elegant marquis designed in a trio of soft shades. Each design is available in companion colorways of laurel greens and white, stately taupes, steel grey, warm beige, and soft grey blues.
